About ONCC: Accreditation

American Board of Nursing Specialties
ONCC is accredited by the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS). ABNS grants accreditation based on peer review and determination that a specialty nursing certification organization has met the high standards established by ABNS. ABNS represents a collective voice on issues of concern to all specialty certified nurses. More information about ABNS can be found at the ABNS website.

National Commission for Certifying Agencies
The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) is an independent organization that has identified the essential components of a national certification program and determines if certification organizations meet established standards based on those components. These standards are nationally recognized principles utilized by a variety of certification organizations for certification programs in diverse professions. Accreditation by NCCA indicates that ONCC has been evaluated by the Commission and was found to meet or exceed all of its established standards.
