Get Certified: Registration Points

Important Test and ONC-PRO Registration Points to Remember

All candidates must register - All initial and renewing candidates planning to take the test or use ONC-PRO must complete the application form, submit any required documentation, and pay the appropriate fee. Candidates using ONC-PRO must submit ONC-PRO logs at the time of application. Candidates may apply online, by fax, or by mail. It is not possible to register over the phone or via email.

Candidates Educated or Licensed Outside of the United States - Initial candidates who received their nursing education or nursing license outside of the United States, its territories, or Canada must have their education and licensure evaluated for U.S. equivalency by a foreign credential evaluation service. The license evaluation must accompany the application form, or the candidate will be considered ineligible and will not be permitted to take the test. For information on organizations providing the evaluation service, please contact ONCC. Please note that this is a lengthy process that should be started well before the application deadline.

Register early - Register as early as possible before the deadline date for the test and as early as possible if you are using ONC-PRO. Complete applications, including any required documentation, must be received by the deadline date, regardless of postmark. ONCC will return applications received after the final deadline date, regardless of postmark. To ensure delivery of your application, we strongly recommend the use of a guaranteed, overnight or two-day delivery service. ONCC will not be responsible for mail lost, misdirected, or delayed by the U.S. Postal Service. To send applications via guaranteed delivery service, please use the address listed in the current Oncology Nursing Certification Test Bulletin or on the current application form.

Register carefully – If applying by mail or fax, use the official application form or a clear photocopy. Faxed applications must include credit card payment. If faxing your application, be sure to fax all application pages, including any required documentation.

Register fully - Be sure you have completed both sides of the application form; incomplete applications will not be accepted, including those without a signature, payment or required documentation. Include the full payment with your application. You will not be permitted to take the test until full payment is made. Do not send cash. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, check, or money order in U.S. dollars must accompany the application form. Make checks payable to Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC). Do not staple the check to the application form. If your employer is funding your registration, please obtain the check from your employer and include it with your application form.
