About the Advocates Program
If you believe in the value of oncology nursing certification, you can be recognized for promoting that value in your workplace, chapter, or community.
ONCC offers the Oncology Nursing Certification Advocates Program. Advocates are oncology certified nurses (OCN®s, CPON®s, AOCN®s, AOCNP®, or AOCNS® who voluntarily promote oncology nursing certification in their workplace, chapter, or community.
Advocates will receive a kit from ONCC containing everything needed to promote oncology nursing certification, as well as periodic updates featuring the latest news and information about certification. Advocates will be recognized in the ONCC News, on ONCC Online, and will be given ribbons to wear at select oncology conferences. Advocates also will be eligible for various rewards and incentives, based on the number of certification candidates they refer. In return, Advocates will be asked to share information about oncology nursing certification, such as by posting flyers on unit bulletin boards, distributing test applications, submitting announcements for newsletters, etc.
