Pittsburgh, PA, January 11, 2019 – The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) announces Clara Beaver, MSN, RN, AOCNS has been elected to its Board of Directors. Beaver will begin a three-year term on the Board in April 2019.
Beaver has extensive volunteer leadership experience with ONCC. She has served on the Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS®) Passing Score Study Task Force, as an AOCNS® Examination Item Writer, and on the ONCC Recognition Subcommittee. She was also selected as the Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse of the Year in 2016.
Beaver says, “I am honored to join the ONCC Board and look forward to working to advance oncology certification. I believe that certification strengthens the capabilities of the oncology nurse work force, protects patients, and provides the surest path to excellence in practice.”
Beaver is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan.
