ONCC Test Fees to Increase in 2023
ONCC will raise its certification test fees January 1, 2023, by $4. The new test fees will be:
- ONS/APHON member - $300
- Nonmember - $420
The nominal fee increase is needed to help offset increased expenses associated with providing ONCC’s high-quality certification examinations.

Nurses who apply to test as an individual are charged the test fee at the time of application. This means that nurses who apply by December 31, 2022, will be charged the 2022 test fee. Those who apply January 1, 2023, or later will be charged the higher 2023 test fee.
However, nurses who apply as part of the ONCC FreeTake Program are not charged a fee at the time of application. The test fee is charged to their institution after the nurse passes the test. Nurses who apply under the FreeTake Program and pass a test after January 1, 2023, will be charged the 2023 test fee, regardless of when they applied to test.
