ONCC offers the most-widely recognized awards for individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions that promote and support oncology nursing certification. In addition, ONCC offers an award for up to 150 nurses to receive free registration for a certification examination each year.

 

OCN® of the Year

Award recognizes outstanding achievements of an OCN® who has made significant contributions to oncology nursing and oncology nursing service, and who has supported and promoted oncology nursing certification.  Deadline: December 1

CBCN® of the Year

Award recognizes outstanding achievements of a CBCN® who has made significant contributions to breast care nursing and breast care nursing service, and who has supported and promoted oncology nursing certification.  Deadline: December 1

Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse of the Year

Award recognizes outstanding achivements of an AOCN®, AOCNP®, or AOCNS® who has made significant contributions to oncology nursing and oncology nursing service, and who has supported and promoted oncology nursing certification.  Deadline: December 1

BMTCN® of the Year

Award recognizes outstanding achivements of a BMTCN® who has made significant contributions to BMT nursing and BMT nursing service, and who has supported and promoted oncology nursing certification.  Deadline: December 1

Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse of the Year

Award recognizes outstanding achievements of a CPHON® or CPON® who has made significant contributions to oncology nursing and oncology nursing service, and who has supported and promoted oncology nursing certification.  Deadline: June 15

Employer Recognition Award

Award recognizes organizations that provide sustained support and recognition of oncology nursing certification. Two awards are available, one for organizations that employ less than 25 RNs and one for organizations that employ more than 25 RNs.Deadline: December 1

Roberta Scofield Memorial Certification Award

Annual award that recognizes nurses who are committed to oncology nursing. Up to 150 recipients will be selected to receive a free certification test or certification renewal the following year.Deadline: September 30

Pearl Moore Certification Champion

The recipient is an individual, group, or institution that has consistently advocated for, promoted, and supported oncology nursing certification. The recipient of this award is selected by the ONCC Board of Directors. Formal nominations are not accepted.
