2026 ACON™ Examination Item Review Call for Volunteers
ONCC is seeking ten (10) volunteers to review examination items for the new Advanced Certified Oncology Nurse (ACON™) certification.
To be considered, you will be required to possess the following:
- A current, active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the U.S., its territories or Canada.
- A master’s degree or higher with a focus in oncology.
- A minimum of two years of experience as an advanced oncology nurse and currently employed in an advanced oncology nursing position.
Item reviewers will receive detailed instruction on how to review multiple choice test items and on-to-one guidance from experienced item reviewers. Test item review requires excellent grammar and language knowledge to craft clear, concise, and unambiguous questions, as well as an excellent attention to detail.
The Advanced Certified Oncology Nurse (ACON) is a new certification for ONCC, item reviewers will be awarded the ACON certification upon completion of the development of the beta examination. Those awarded the certification will be required to renew by examination once the launch of the formal examination form has been completed.
The initial meeting is scheduled to take place virtually in January 2026 with subsequent meetings held virtually and possibly in-person. ONCC will pay for travel, hotel and meal expenses related to in-person meetings.
