ONCC Recognizes Jane Jachowicz as 2026 Certified Breast Care Nurse of the Year
The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC®) has named Jane Jachowicz, BSN, RN, CN-BN, CBCN®, as the 2026 Certified Breast Care Nurse of the Year. Jachowicz is a Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator at the University of Colorado, UCHealth Anshutz Campus, in Aurora, Colorado.

Jane’s dedication to breast care is illustrated by her key passions: education, community service, and mentoring.
Jane supports clinical research studies at UCHealth on shared decision making, sexual health, and distress screening. She is a frequent educator, a regular community speaker on breast cancer screening, treatment, and survivorship, has contributed articles to breast health magazines and books, and promoted breast cancer awareness on local radio. She volunteers with several national and local organizations, regularly tutors local hospital groups preparing for certification, and promotes the value of certification through hospital-based committees.
According to Jane, “Receiving this award reinforces the deep passion and commitment that I have for my patients and the field of breast cancer. It serves as motivation to continue to learn and stay current with research advances so that I may share with my patients, community, colleagues and mentees.”
Jachowicz was presented with her award during the ONCC Recognition Breakfast for Oncology Certified Nurses on May 15 in San Antonio, Texas, during the ONS Congress.
