Anne Kolenic, DNP, APRN, AOCNS®

Cleveland, OH

I have been an oncology nurse for over 33 years and practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at UH Seidman Cancer Center and am also a part time lecturer for Case Western University’s SON both in Cleveland, Ohio. I began my oncology career as a nurse’s aid on an oncology floor during nursing school, then upon graduation became a BMT nurse, then moved to the ambulatory world of oncology care and have had the privilege to hold different roles. While caring for oncology patients and their families was foundational to my career, my true passion has become educating and supporting nurses with their continuous learning, growth, and development. I hold serious our ethical obligation to be a lifelong learners and love bringing that passion to others in our field. I have held an oncology certification for over 22 years and enjoy mentoring other nurses to pursue and achieve their ONCC certifications. Besides education, my interests in oncology care center around palliative care/EOL and communication skills. When I am not busy at work, I love to read books, watch/play sports, walk in nature, and spend time with my husband and our 4 children.
