Oncology Nurse Navigation Certification Test Development Committee Call for Volunteers
The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC®) is pleased to announce the development of a new oncology nurse navigation certification, designed to formally recognize the advanced knowledge, skills, and critical role of nurse navigators in oncology care.
Test Development Committee Composition:
ONCC is seeking 7 oncology nurse navigators to serve as members of the navigation certification Test Development Committee for a minimum term of three (3) years.
As a member of the committee, you will be responsible for the following:
- Determine the eligibility criteria for the certification
- Create and approve the examination test content outline
- Write, review and reference examination items
- Develop, review and approve examination forms
- Mentor item writers during item writing workshops
- Review and approve annual bibliography of reference materials for certification.
To be considered you will need the following:
- A current, active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the U.S., its territories or Canada.
- A minimum of two years (24 months) of experience as an RN within the last four years (48 months).
- Job experience in oncology navigation and a current position as an Oncology Nurse Navigator
Timeline
The initial meeting is scheduled to take place virtually in January 2026 with subsequent meetings held virtually as well as in-person.
