This year marks my 40th anniversary as a nurse. After spending the first 15 years in a variety of nursing roles, I found my true calling in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nursing as a bedside nurse on the Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Nemours Children’s Hospital. From that moment, I knew this was the specialty to which I would dedicate my career.

Suffern, NY

I began my oncology nursing career in 2011 on an oncology and radiation unit at Duke University Hospital after graduating from Duke University School of Nursing. What began at the bedside caring for patients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives grew into a career that has spanned inpatient oncology, ambulatory infusion, phase I clinical trials, gynecologic oncology, advanced practice nursing, and oncology leadership. I earned my MSN from Yale University and my DNP from University of Connecticut.
